About me

I am a political scientist interested in comparative politics and especially in the comparison of South American and Eastern European dictatorships. I am mostly interested in the relation between art and politics in dictatorships (both cultural policies and artistic artifacts), as well as in post-dictatorial contexts. My most recent publications have focused on artistic remembrance in Romania and Chile with a focus on contemporary art.

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science/Faculty of Political Science (FSP), University of Bucharest. Since 2022 I am Habilitated to coordinate doctoral theses in political science at the Doctoral School of Political Science, University of Bucharest. I hold a PhD in Political Science from the University of Bucharest (2009).
